About This Course

Yarning Safe Sleep with Mob has been led by mob and shaped by the voices and wisdom of Aboriginal health professionals and those who work alongside Aboriginal families. Skye Stewart, a proud Wergaia and Wemba Wemba midwife, travelled across Victoria yarning with community and leading this work with heart, guided every step by mob. Together, we’ve created something that’s not just about learning — it’s about connection, respect, and keeping bubs safe.

This course supports those caring for Aboriginal families by empowering them to share strong, clear information about safe sleep for bubs. It re-imagines existing safe sleep messaging through a strengths-based approach that honours the rich culture, deep knowledge, and 60,000+ years of childrearing traditions held by First Nations peoples on this land. Learners will deepen their understanding of culturally safe communication and build the confidence to support families in ways that respect culture, strengthen connection, and help keep bubs safe.

Who is This Course For?
