About the Course
Our Safe Sleep for Leaders & Infant Carers course is a comprehensive training program that builds on foundational knowledge to explore how safe sleep practices are embedded across your service.
The course examines the risk factors that contribute to sudden unexpected death in infancy (SUDI), including SIDS and fatal sleep accidents, and supports infant carers and leaders to confidently implement Red Nose’s 6 Safe Sleep Recommendations. It also covers safe settling approaches for different age groups, developing and evaluating sleep and rest policies, using individual risk assessments, and responding to emergencies.
Developed by Red Nose’s expert team and grounded in the latest evidence, this course empowers leaders and infant carers with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to champion safe and responsive sleep practices within their setting.
