From July 2025, Red Nose will no longer offer Safe Sleep training delivered in scheduled webinar sessions. Instead, all training will be completed online through individual, self-paced eLearning — meaning staff can log in and complete the course at any time, without needing to attend a scheduled session.
Why are we making this change?
This decision was guided by our education specialists after reviewing the effectiveness of all training formats.
We found that webinars:
• Made it harder to measure what participants learned
• Didn’t always deliver a consistent experience based on group dynamics
• Created confusion for customers and pressure for our customer service team
By moving to eLearning, we can ensure:
• Every learner views all required content
• Their understanding is assessed
• You and your team receive a consistent, high-quality experience
What if we have Safe Sleep questions?
We know the live Q&A in webinars was valuable. To ensure personalised support remains available, you can contact our Safe Sleep Advice Line, staffed by experienced educators.
They can help you with real-world Safe Sleep advice and point you to useful resources. To contact the Safe Sleep Advice Line, call 1300 998 698 (option 5), Monday–Friday during business hours.

This helps keep the Safe Sleep Advice Line available for those needing specific advice about a baby or child in their care.
How will training work now?
We’ve introduced a two-tiered eLearning pathway to make Safe Sleep training more flexible and affordable for every service:
• Safe Sleep Essentials – $38.50
• Safe Sleep for Leaders & Infant Carers – $98.50
The eLearning courses will become available for purchase on the online shop from Friday 27 June 2025.
What if I already purchased webinar tokens?
Your investment is fully honoured — and upgraded.
For each remaining token, you’ll receive complimentary access to our Safe Sleep Essentials eLearning course — a more robust, individualised, and assessed training experience that offers a higher standard of learning, accountability, and educational quality than webinars ever could.
When will I receive my updated token?
There’s nothing you need to do.
Your updated token and instructions will arrive by 1st July 2025, and your staff can begin the training right away.
